Oct 21, 2010 (newstodate): Miami is to get its first direct nonstop air-link to Russia.
From the start of this winter's schedule, the Russian carrier Transaero will launch flights on new nonstop routes between Moscow Domodedovo Airport and New York and Miami, respectively, offering three weekly rotations to New York and two weekly rotations to Miami.
The route to New York will be operated with Boeing 747-400 aircraft, while the flights to Miami will be operated with Boeing 777 aircraft.
Launched in November 1991, the privately-owned carrier Transaero Airlines is the second-largest passenger air carrier in Russia, with 12 Boeing 747, seven Boeing 777, 12 Boeing 767, 21e Boeing 737s and three Tupolev 214 aircraft in its fleet.
