Oct 27, 23010 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines, based at Yekaterinburg, is a staunch operator of Airbus aircraft and has plans for new acquisitions.
The carrier will reportedly add up to six more airbus aircraft in 2011, including three Airbus A321 to be delivered in the first quarter of the year, and one Airbus A320.
In the plans is also the acquisition of a further two Airbus aircraft in 2011.
Further down the line are plans to acquire also two or three Airbus A330 aircraft for delivery in 2013-2014, with negotiations already going on between the parties.
An airbus operator since 2006, Ural Airlines now operates a fleet comprising 11 Airbus A320 and two Airbus A321 aircraft.
The planned acquisition of Airbus A330 aircraft will enable the carrier phase out its last remaining Soviet-built aircraft, four TU-154M aircraft.
