Oct 04, 2010 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Polet Airlines is building up regional traffic from Moscow Domodedovo Airport with its fleet of SAAB aircraft.
The first among Russian carriers to operate the aircraft type, Polet has launched services from Moscow Domodedovo to Lipetsk, Belgorod and Ulyanovsk, using SAAB 340B aircraft.
When flights on these routes have proved their worth, the airline is planning to develop its operations to Siberia, Ural and other domestic regions further to grow regional traffic.
Polet Airlines earlier launched SAAB 340B flights between Moscow Domodedovo and Voronezh with its first SAAB aircraft.
So far the carrier operates three SAAB 340B, but plans are to add more aircraft - up to 25 if available in the marketplace.
