Oct 15, 2010 (newstodate): Boeing is seeing a huge market for commercial aircraft in Russia and the CIS over the next 20 years.
Releasing its 2010 CIS market outlook, Boeing expect these markets to take delivery of about 960 new aircraft valued around 90 bio USD during 2010-2030.
The aircraft will primarily be need to replace the existing fleet of obsolete, fuel-thirsty aircraft with new modern aircraft, and 60 percent of these will be narrow-body aircraft to satisfy the growing need for intra-regional and domestic air travel.
Some 30 of the new aircraft will be large freighter aircraft, Boeing says.
