Oct 27, 2010 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport continues its strongly negative trend in cargo volumes during January-September 2010.
In September, the airport saw volumes down 10 percent, to 6,123 tonnes including 3,616 tonnes of international cargo, down 10.1 percent, and 2,508 tonnes of domestic cargo, down 9.9 percent, all figures compared to last year.
The first nine months of this year, Oslo Gardermoen Airport's cargo volumes, 53,048 tonnes, are thus 9.7 percent below levels in 2009.
The cargo statistics by Oslo Gardermoen include only flown cargo that is only about half of the total volumes of export air cargo from Norway, but even so the development indicates a strong decline in volumes in 2010.
