Oct 21, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish privately-owned investment company Kirk Kapital is behind the construction of new aircraft hangar at Billund Airport, in western Denmark.
Starting in 2011, the company will build two 3,200 sq m corporate aircraft hangars close to the existing old airport terminal that will be partly demolished to give way to the new structures.
Adjoining this, the airport will build a new terminal to serve corporate and private air traffic.
In the portfolio of Kirk Kapital that shares ownership with the LEGO Group are 48 aircraft, 39 of which are operated by American airlines on a lease contract.
