Oct 26, 2010 (newstodate): Soviet-built noisy aircraft are now to be banned from operating even at one of Moscow's leading aiprorts.
Moscow Vnukovo Airport will enforce a noise ban along international standards on operations by old-generation Russian aircraft types including Tu-134, TU-154B and Il-86 aircraft.
The ban will be enforced from March 2011 and is estimated to affect some 10-15 percent of the current operations.
The new regulations will further promote the replacing of old soviet-built commercial aircraft with modern aircraft, including imported western-built aircraft types.
