Oct 06, 2010 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier and capacity provider DOT is actively engaged in projects around the world.
-Our two ATR freighters are operating in India for Deccan, one ATR-500 is flying in Bhutan for Druk Air, and one ATR and one Embraer are operating in Congo, says Evaldas Petkus, DOT CEO.
-The ATR-42-300 aircraft damaged at Poti, Finland, on August 8, 2010, was declared a hull loss, and it will not so far be replaced by a new aircraft. We will wait till the market demands more capacity before we decide on a replacement, says mr Petkus.
The company was set up in 2004 by the Danish regional airline DAT, with 49 percent, and its Lithuanian partner, Evaldas Petkus, who has served as Air Lithuania VP and captain, holding the rest of the stakes.
