Oct 11, 2010 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is scaling down its operations at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport during the coming winter schedule.
Offering direct non-stop services from Vilnius Airport to 13 destination during the summer period, airBaltic will provide direct services from Vilnius Airport to Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Tallinn, Riga and Munich only from the end of this month.
As previously reported, airBaltic is also to reduce its flight offerings from Estonia's Tallinn Airport, pulling out from the route from Tallinn to Stockholm, Sweden, as well as to Turku and Oulu in Finland from the start of November, while flights from Tallinn to Lappeenranta in Finland were stopped from October 1, 2010, already.
Instead, airBaltic is expanding its services based on its hub at Riga Airport, Latvia.
