Oct 29, 2010 (newstodate): The Kazakh carrier Air Astana is shifting its destination in the Gulf region away from Dubai.
Effective from October 31, 2010, the carrier will instead direct its service from Astana and Almaty to Abu Dhabi.
Air Astana will operate daily flights between Almaty and Abu Dhabi, and four weekly services between Astana and Abu Dhabi, using Airbus A320 and A321 on the routes.
In a statement, Air Astana says "the change of operating airport in UAE has happened for reasons beyond the airline's control due to restrictions imposed by Civil Aviation authorities of Dubai".
