Oct 15, 2010 (newstodate): Romania has proved a successful market for the Hungarian LCC, WIZZ Air.
WIZZ Air launched Bucharest as a new operational base on June 7, 2007, and has since grown its traffic at the Romanian capital airport.
Thanks to its success in the market, WIZZ Air will now extend its Bucharest Baneasa Airport hub from December 15, 2010, allocating the fifth Airbus A320 aircraft which allows for the opening of an increase in frequencies on 12 of the carrier's 16 routes.
WIZZ air will also add flights from Bucharest to Larnaca and Malaga from summer 2011.
