October 26, 2010 (newstodate): The Scandinavian countries are following the general EU approach towards Iran Air.
In Norway, Statoil has decided that it will not sell jet fuel to Iran Air or any other Iranian carrier in the current situation.
In Sweden, Shell Sweden says its existing contract with Iran air will not be renewed after its expiry.
The oil provider, however, refuses to publish the expiry date of the current contract for "reasons of commercial secrecy".
In Denmark there is also an embargo on fueling of Iran Air's weekly service.
But the aircraft serving the route to Copenhagen from Tehran continues to Gothenburg, Sweden, where it is still fueled by Gothenburg Fuelling Company for the return flight as long as the contract with Shell Sweden is running.
