Oct 26, 2010 (newstodate): The resumption of direct nonstop air services between Israel and Denmark will halve the total flying time to 4.5 hours.
Since 2000, direct air services have been suspended as the two carriers El Al and SAS that earlier served the route laid down the route.
Effective from November 1, 2010, the Danish carrier Cimber Air will launch operations on the route, offering three scheduled flights plus one charter flight between Copenhagen and Tel Aviv, sparing passengers the transfer at some European airport.
Charter flights from Norway to Israel have also been resumed, and it is expected that more traffic between Scandinavia and Israel will soon be announced.
