Oct 08, 2010 (newstodate): The Romanian carrier Carpatair has secured its fleet of SAAB 2000 aircraft through extension of its existing leasing contract with the Danish company Nordic Aviation Capital.
The lease agreements for six SAAB 2000 aircraft has been extended by a further 40 months, and in addition NAC has acquired another SAAB 200 aircraft that has also been placed on a lease agreement with Carpatair.
The carrier, based in Timisoara, will thus be operating seven SAAB 2000 aircraft leased from NAC, out of a total of 12 aircraft of this type in the fleet.
Carpatair that is Romania's second-largest airline also operates three Fokker 70 and three Fokker 100 aircraft.
