Oct 15, 2010 (newstodate): Talks are now going on between the Chinese Grand China Airlines Holding and the Lithuanian carrier Star1 Airlines that has been grounded since the end of September and has now filed for bankruptcy.
A representative from the Chinese group arrived in Vilnius, Lithuania, on October 14 and will leave again tonight after holding discussions with Star1 Airlines' management, the Lithuanian ministry of transportation and other Lithuanian officials.
After returning from his fact-finding mission, the Chinese representative will deliver a report to his board that is next to decided if further negotiations are warranted by his findings.
