Oct 20, 2010 (newstodate): Construction works have now started at Bulgaria's Bourgas Airport.
The airport, managed by Fraport, will have a new cargo terminal, a new facility housing the airport fire brigade, and a new admin office building.
Further down the line comes the construction starting in 2011 of a new passenger terminal with capacity of handling up to three million passengers annually.
In 2008, Fraport together with its partner, the Bulgarian company BM Star, won the concession to manage Bourgas and Varna Airports for 35 years.
