Jan 15, 2010 (newstodate): The Swedish carrier Avia Express, formerly named Skyways, has taken delivery of a Fokker 50 aircraft on a short term dry lease contract with Air Iceland.
Brokering the agreement is Skyworld Aviation that has earlier placed two of the Icelandic carrier's Fokker 50 aircraft with other operators.
The Fokker 50 aircraft was delivered to Avia Express on January 8, 2010, and is operated on the airline's domestic route network while remaining on Icelandic aircraft register.
Skyworld Aviation has arranged nearly 400 aircraft transactions across 50 countries which includes over 100 Fokker transactions.
