Jan 20, 2010 (newstodate): New Slovakian airline Danube Wings, based at Bratislava, is setting up flights from Slovakia to the UK.
The carrier will introduce twice-weekly flights between Bratislava and Manchester, in addition to two weekly flights from Poprad-Tatry to Manchester.
The carrier already operates three weekly flights between Poprad-Tatry and London Luton Airport.
Danube Wings will introduce a Boeing 737-400 on the routes, leased from the Czech airline CSA.
Set up in January, 2009, Danube Winds operates flights to 12 destinations in six countries, using a fleet so far comprising three ATR-72 as well as one Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
