Jan 22, 2010 (newstodate): The Polish carrier SprintAir has acquired a SAAB 340QC aircraft from Avitrans Leasing of Sweden.
The aircraft has been on a lease contract between the two parties since 2006, but a new contract with Poland's post authority has rendered the outright acquisition feasible for the carrier.
SprintAir, based in Warsaw, now operates a fleet comprising 12 SAAB 340 aircraft in passenger and cargo configurations and is the world's largest operator of SAAB 340 freighter aircraft.
