Jan 19, 2010 (newstodate): Seasonal low demand and technical issues in January prompted Sundt Atlanta Skybridge to cancel some of its trans-Atlantic flights, but the program is now to be fully implemented again.
-Last weekend's flight was canceled as will also be the case with the Wednesday flight this week, but regular twice-weekly flights from Oslo to New York and Miami will start again from Saturday, says Paer Wahlstedt Scandinavian AirBridge AB managing director, GSA for the carrier in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic markets.
-Actually the suspension of the Wednesday flight this week is prompted by a technical issue as the aircraft will operate a charter flight with communications equipment to the Dominican Republic.
-So far into 2010 the flight program will build on two weekly Boeing 747-200F flights, but as the market grows and demand increases we are ready to add more frequencies and also new destinations, says Mr Wahlstedt.
The current routing of the freighter service is Oslo-New York-Miami-Amsterdam-Oslo.
