Jan 19, 2010 (newstodate): Lufthansa is planning for a major increase in its Baltic traffic from this year's summer schedules.
Effective from March 26, 2010, Lufthansa will be offering up to 41 weekly flights between Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and Germany, which is a record-high volume of Lufthansa flights to and from the region.
Lufthansa is increasing its services between Estonia and Germany by adding Munich as its latest destination out of Tallinn, offering a daily Airbus A319 flight on the route.
The additional destination will bring an increase in frequencies between Estonia and Germany from 7 to 14 weekly flights.
In the Lithuanian market, Lufthansa will operate six additional weekly flights from Vilnius to Frankfurt with Airbus A320/Boeing 737 aircraft, bringing the total volume of flights to 13.
Only recently, Lufthansa also announced an increase in flights from Riga to Frankfurt during the coming summer holidays, offering up to seven weekly additional Boeing 737-500 flights on this route between July 19 and August 28, 2010.
