Jan 13, 2010 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier Star1 Airlines, established in 2009, is airing plans for further increased frequency on its route between Vilnius and London.
Effective from April 29, 2010, the airline will up frequency to six weekly flights from the currently five weekly rotations that were last increased from four weekly flights from the start of this month.
The carrier will thus take advantage of the decision by Aer Lingus to stop daily Airbus A320 flights between Vilnius and London, but on the other hand competition will return with the decision by airBaltic to start operations with Boeing 737-500 aircraft between the two destinations.
