Jan 06, 2010 (newstodate): Iceland's LCC Iceland Express has again announced plans for further long-haul flights.
Effective from June 2010, Iceland Express will introduce two weekly flights from Keflavik International Airport to Winnipeg International Airport, in Manitoba, Canada.
This follows on the earlier decision to launch new flights from June 2010, from Akureyri, Iceland, via London Gatwick to New York and from Keflavik International Airport to Birmingham.
Iceland Express will also operate two or three flights from Keflavik Airport to Bangkok during the summer 2010 to test out the operation, the the experience gained will then be evaluated as part of preparations for future projects.
The Iceland-US flights and the planned operations between Iceland and Thailand will be flown with Astreus' Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
