Jan 25, 2010 (newstodate): The Russian cargo carrier AirBridgeCargo has decided to phase out its remaining Boeing 747-200F aircraft before the end of the year.
In the fleet now are two Boeing 747-200F and one Boeing 747-300F that will all be retired during 2010.
Instead the carrier will operate the Boieing 7467-400F, of which fiv e are already in the fleet, and a fifth ex-Air France Cargo Boeing 747-400F will be added this spring.
Further down the line, the carrier will take delivery of a total of five Boeing 747-8F aircraft, and also has options for a further five aircraft.
ABC Airlines has its hub at Frankfurt Hahn Airport where it was the prime cargo airline in 2009, generating a total of 30,040 tonnes of cargo - an increase by 30 percent, y-o-y.
