Jan 11, 2010 (newstodate): Effective from January 19, 2010, the Belarus carrier Belavia is back in Riga, Latvia.
The carrier will offer three weekly flights between Minsk and Riga, using CRJ 100 and 200 aircraft, in competition with Latvia's airBaltic that launched flights between the two cities from August 1, 2003, also with three weekly rotations.
Belavia will be handled by NHS, Riga Airport's new handling company.
Belavia has earlier been operating between Minsk and Riga but has suspended the services for longer periods on several occasions.
