Sep 29, 2009 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways is spreading its wings further with the launch of this winter's schedule.
On the passenger side, the carrier will operate a weekly flight from Tashkent to New York and to Rome, and one weekly operation will be added to the airline's route to Kuala Lumpur.
With the introduction of two Airbus A300-600 freighters, leased from Korean Air, already operating from Navoi to Mumbai, Delhi and Bangkok, new thrice-weekly freighter flights to Frankfurt will be launched from October 2, 2009, and in the pipeline is also the opening of regular cargo flights from Navoi to Amsterdam.
