Sep 11, 2009 (newstodate): After only a few months of services between Bangkok and Oslo, Norway, Thai Airways plans to increase frequency on the route.
Effective from the start of the coming winter program, October 25, 2009, the carrier will add two weekly rotations, bringing the service to daily flights between the two cities.
At the same time Thai will introduce the Boeing 777-200ER, replacing the Airbus A340-500 currently used on the route.
The route had been on the agenda for several years before Thai finally launched operations with five weekly services from June 15, 2009.
