Sep 04, 2009 (newstodate): Singapore Airlines is reportedly easing the throttle on the speed of deliveries of more Airbus A380 aircraft.
The carrier currently operates nine Airbus A380 aircraft and will take in a further two before the end of this financial year.
Plans are, however, to delay deliveries by six to 12 months of the next eight mega-jumbos so far scheduled for delivery from April 2010 to January 2011.
On October 25, 2007, Singapore Airlines was the first carrier to launch commercial flights with the Airbus A380, and the carrier has placed order for a total of 19 aircraft plus options for a further six A380.
