Sep 28, 2009 (newstodate): SAS Cargo has now officially announced the end of its joint operations together with Emirates SkyCargo of freighter services from Gothenburg, Sweden, to Dubai and Hong Kong.
The last flight will be performed from Gothenburg on October 25, 2009.
-In the future we will focus entirely on developing competitive air cargo solutions based on SAS' belly capacity and the SAS network, says Michael Sandberg, SAS Cargo VP Global Sales.
After that SAS Cargo will offer belly capacity on the airline's six weekly flights from Copenhagen to Bangkok, Thailand, and onwards to and from Hong Kong with partners.
SAS Cargo shipments to China will be carried on the airline's seven weekly flights to Beijing, and cargo to Dubai and the Gulf region will be lifted on the airline's three weekly flights from Copenhagen to Dubai starting from October 28, 2009.
