Sep 17, 2009 (newstodate): Turkmenistan Airlines has now taken delivery of its second new Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The third and last aircraft on order will be delivered shortly, and all aircraft will be operated on the carrier's routes to destinations in Europe as well as on regional and domestic routes.
The influx of new capacity will also allow the airline to open up new routes, including a route between Ashgabat and Paris that is coming soon.
Turkmenistan Airlines currently operates a modern fleet of 19 Boeing aircraft, with two more to join.
Plans are also to acquire a further two Boeing long-haul aircraft by 2011.
