Also on the agenda will be the introduction from October of a second weekly service on Saturdays to supplement the existing Tuesday flight, sources say.
-The Saturday flight will be much better positioned to attract shipments from exporters in the Arctic regions of Norway, Sweden and Finland that all prefer late-week deadlines for shipments to be available with the consignees from the start of the week, says an industry source.
-By contrast, the existing Tuesday flight is primarily to serve the Norwegian exporters of fresh salmon to the Far Eastern markets, including Japan, while also attracting some industrial shipments from Norwegian exporters.
