Sep 22, 2009 (newstodate): The Belarus carrier Belavia is mulling plans for future intercontinental and trans-Atlantic flights.
The carrier currently operates a fleet comprising five Boeing 737-500, three Boeing 737-300, three CRJ-100/200 LR, and four ТU-154М aircraft, but plans are to expand the fleet with a long-haul aircraft, yet unspecified, when the current fleet revamp has been completed.
Belavia will then consider opening a route from Minsk to Beijing, China, and a trans-Atlantic route to the USA.
