Aug 31, 2009 (newstodate): Though still an aircraft certain to catch attention at most airports, the global Airbus A380 fleet is growing steadily.
By the end of July, 2009, a total of 17 A380 aircraft had entered commercial service with airlines, including five with Emirates, three with Qantas, and nine with Singapore Airlines.
Air France will put its first of 12 A380 aircraft ordered in operation from November, 2009, and Korean Air Lines is expecting to receive its first of 10 A380 ordered before the end of this year.
So far Airbus has booked a total of 200 orders from 16 customers around the world.
