Aug 17, 2009 (newstodate): Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport, Slovenia, has now completed reconstruction works on its runway and is fully operational.
Comprised by the latest modernization works is the resurfacing of the 3,300 m runway, and the installation of new runway lighting and ILS systems.
Earlier this year the airport also launched a project comprising the construction of additional aircraft parking stands, a larger area for de-icing aircraft, an emergency access road, an internal fuel station, and a modernized water pumping station for firefighting purposes.
