Aug 17, 2009 (newstodate): Icelandair plans to increase frequency on its route since this summer between Iceland and Seattle, on the US west coast.
The carrier opened its route on July 22, 2009, with four weekly rotations, but plans are to increase by two weekly rotations from May 6, 2010, already.
For more than 40 years' the Scandinavian carrier SAS was long alone in serving Seattle with a direct, non-stop European flight, but the airline closed down its route from this summer as part of its general down-scaling of intercontinental flight services.
