Aug 21, 2009 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines will launch flights on a new route to Armenia.
Effective from August 24, 2009, the carrier will operate a weekly flight on the new route between Samara, in Russia, and Armenia's Yerevan Zvartnots Airport.
The flight will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
In the fleet of Ural Airlines are now 10 A320 and one A321, and the carrier plans to phase out its entire Soviet-built fleet of four An-24, four Il-86 and eight Tu-154 in 2010 when the first of ten Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft ordered will start deliveries.
