Aug 11, 2009 (newstodate): Russia's Voronezh International Airport has started work on reconstruction of parts of the airport infrastructure, forcing it to limit air traffic for a period.
Comprised by the work that was launched on August 10, 2009, is the re-surfacing of the 2,300 m runway, as well as reconstuction of the runway drainage system and perimeter marking systems.
The current works are stage two in the airport's continuing modernisation process that will be completed by mid-autumn 2009.
