Aug 11, 2009 (newstodate): The re-integration of Aeroflot-Cargo's cargo business into the mother airline, Aeroflot will be a gradual process, running from now till spring 2010.
-We will take it step by step, with the first phase to be the set-up of a Cargo Dept within Aeroflot and then the gradual staffing of the department by people now in Aeroflot-Cargo plus people from outside the company, says Lev Koshliakov, Aeroflot Dep General director Public Affairs.
-At this stage no new head of department has been named, but we would not exclude that Oleg Konstantinovich, Aeroflot-Cargo's CEO could qualify as he is not to blame for the problems leading Aeroflot to reconsider the future of its cargo business.
-Actually we made a number of mistakes when the subsidiary was set up, and in the meantime the market situation has changed profoundly, making the continued operation of cargo as a separate company unfeasible, says Mr Koshliakov.
