Aug 04, 2009 (newstodate): The coming new US airline to offer Transatlantic flights to Europe, Baltia Air Lines has reportedly signed a LoI for purchase of a Boeing 747 aircraft.
In 2009 Baltia Air lines has also received its Final Order from the United States Department of Transportation, its Frequency Allocation, FAA departure and arrival slots at JFK, and its IATA Code, and the company thus seems to be moving from the project stage to actual launch before the end of this year.
Baltia Air Lines' ambitions include first the launch of flights between New York and St Petersburg, Riga, and later adding flights to the capital cities of Eastern Europe, including Moscow, Riga, Kiev, and Minsk.
