Aug 29, 2009 (newstodate): After the bankruptcy of Lithuania's former national airline, flyLAL by January 2009, the country is in dire needs for filling the void left in air transportation to and from the country.
By mid-September this year the government's consultant, the Spanish company Advanced Logistics Group will present the results from its feasibility study on the viability of setting up a new airline to become the official national carrier.
Also on the busy agenda of Lithuania's ministry of transportation is a master plan for the country's future airport infrastructure, currently being completed for presentation to the government for political decision.
