Aug 04, 2009 (newstodate): August 2009 will be the first month with CASS operations in Estonia.
Lead airline to boost the process is Finnair, but more airlines are expected to follow soon.
-Hopes are of course that Estonian Air, Lufthansa, airBaltic and SAS will join shortly, adding momentum to the development of full electronic air cargo accounting and reporting system capabilities in the Estonian market, says Ulla Nilson, CASS Nordic & Baltic manager.
-The advantage of working with an airline, Finnair, in the Estonian market right from the very start has been crucial as we have been able to test the systems "live" and verify the flawless performance of bank transfers and other operations, securing that any new airline signing up in Estonia will be fully operational from day one.
Estonia is the last Baltic market to implement CASS, as Latvia and Lithuania have been on-line for one year already.
