Aug 05, 2009 (newstodate): Iraq's Transport Ministry has signed an agreement with German carrier Blue Wings for the lease of three Airbus A320 aircraft.
The aircraft will be allocated to Iraqi Airways for use on the carrier's routes between Iraq and European destinations, with flights to London Stansted to be launched this autumn.
The carrier's fleet is otherwise dominated by Boeing aircraft, and the A320 aircraft will be the first of this type operated by Iraqi Airways.
