Aug 04, 2009 (newstodate): Effective from the start of the coming winter schedule 2009/2010, Finnair plans to bolster its Far Eastern network services further by the addition of a fifth weekly frequency on its route from Helsinki to Tokyo, Japan.
The new flight to Tokyo Narita Airport will be served with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Finnair last increased frequency on the route in December, 2006, when the carrier went from two to four weekly departures.
Finnair is the only North European airline to offer direct flights to all of Japan's three largest cities Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.
