Aug 10, 2009 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport saw cargo volumes down by 25.4 percent, y-o-y, in July 2009.
Total volumes were 353 tonnes including 118 tonnes of air mail.
The airport's cargo volumes have been on a constant decline all through 2009, and the accumulated volumes, 2,323 tonnes, are now 29.3 percent below last year's level.
Low demand in the market, little air traffic after flyLAL's bankruptcy early in 2009, and operations by small regional aircraft mainly drive prospects for en early recovery to low levels.
