Aug 26, 2009 (newstodate): Bosnia-Herzegovina and Malaysia have signed an air services agreement opening prospects for future flights between the Balkans and Malaysia.
The agreement is expected to take effect from late 2009 or early 2010, and Bosnia-Herzegovina may thus become the first Balkan country to open up for direct flights to Malaysia.
If plans for direct flights materialise, Malaysian Airlines will be the carrier on the route as Bosnia-Herzegovina does not itself have airlines with capacity to provide intercontinental flights.
