Aug 10, 2009 (newstodate): Aeroflot-Cargo has reported positive figures in its latest statistics on cargo volumes till July, 2009.
In July the carrier handled a total of 12,992 tonnes of cargo, only 1.6 percent below last year's volumes.
7,104 tonnes were carried on Aeroflot passenger aircraft, down 5.7 percent, while loads on Aeroflot-Cargo's freighters were 5,888 tonnes - an increase by four percent, y-o-y.
Corporate experts said that both results of cargo volumes are exceeding originally planned targets passenger fleet volumes exceed by 16.4 percent, and freighter volumes exceed by 42.5 percent.
In July 2008, Aeroflot-Cargo operated three DC-10F-40 and two Boeing-737 freighter aircraft while in 2009 the carrier's freighter fleet comprises only three MD-11F.
