Aug 28, 2009 (newstodate): Boeing has now announced that the first Dreamliner flight will be in Q4, with first deliveries to start from Q4, 2010.
The Boeing 787 was originally due to fly for the first time by the end of August 2007, with first delivery to launch customer ANA in May 2008, but the program has been hit repeatedly by delays and technical problems as well as by the effect from the recent strike actions at Boeing's facilities.
So far Boeing has landed 910 orders for the Dreamliner, but after the earlier delays to the program a total of 59 cancellations have been agreed.
