Jul 29, 2009 (newstodate): SITA has landed a USD9 mio contract in Ukraine for airport systems integration at Kharkiv International Airport's new terminal.
The agreement was reached with New Systems AM, a member of the DCH group and handling agent for Kharkiv International Airport.
The new terminal will go into operation in April 2010 and is expected to handle up to 1,000 football fans per hour at peak arrival and departure periods during Euro 2012, the UEFA football tournament.
SITA will provide the new terminal with fully integrated IT systems by next summers operational period with all applications running on a common network infrastructure including check-in, boarding, baggage management, security and access control.
