Jul 01, 2009 (newstodate): Ukrainean carrier Aerosvit Airlines is preparing for a deeper penetration of the market for air transportation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The carrier already operates five weekly flights between Kiev, Ukraine, and Baku in Azerbaijan, but it would like to increase frequency to daily flights when permits are obtained.
In the plans for 2010 is the opening of new flights from Kiev to Ganja, the second-largest city in Azerbaijan, as well as to Nakhchivan Airport in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Both airports have been recently developed to allow for international air traffic.
