Jul 27, 2009 (newstodate): Effective from September 17, 2009, the Latvian airline airBaltic will introduce nonstop flights from Riga to Frankfurt.
Frankfurt will become the carrier's sixth destination in Germany and the new destination will mark airBaltic's 11th new route opening this year that has already seen the launch of flights to Palanga and Kaunas in Lithuania, to Tartu in Estonia, Turku in Finland, Linkoping in Sweden, Tromso in Norway, Dushanbe in Tajikistan, Geneva in Switzerland, Warsaw in Poland, and Pskov in Russia.
The route between Riga and Frankfurt will be served daily with Boeing 737 aircraft.
